There
will be a lot to see, hear and learn at the Helsinki Space Exhibition.
All Finnish space research institutes, universities and companies
will gather to one hall and present their activities and products
to the public.
The
European Space Agency ESA will bring to the exhibition a cluster of
landers: Titan-bound Huygens and the Rosetta lander have both several
Finnish instruments and Mars Express’s Beagle II that will land
to the red planet just after the expo in December 2003. The landers
will represent the new expeditions, expanding the horizons to surfaces
of other bodies of the Solar System. ESA will also present the Nuna
solar electric car as an example of technology transfer – the
Finns like cars, racing and hi-tech, and Nuna will combine all these.
