Dear Les and colleages,
You ask in your interesting mail of Nov. 14, 1997 if any calculations of
halo phenomena
have been made for other crystals than those of water ice. I can answer
this question
with "yes". Already at the end of last century Cornu produced haloes by
alum crystals.
