Hi all,
At least 10 sprites were captured last night by the camera on
2877m in the French Pyrenees! See http://www.eurosprite.net ,
where more images will be placed soon, so check regularly.
In Toulouse, a line of storms appeared to be approaching from
the west, with one flash every second, and I thought this would
be my chance to finally conduct some serious lightning
photography again. So I decided to bike 10-15 minutes to the
city center near the river, but as I arrived, flash rates were
almost down to 5-10 per minute, at the northern horizon :((
I had to return without any frames shot.
I've read in the Dutch news that several tornadoes have caused
damage in France including 14 injured people, and hail has
fallen up to the size of oranges!
