Veikko,
I have never seen that type of mirage over
water like that at all because where I live at in
southern Ohio in the U.S we can't get those
extremes between air temperatures but I do see
the what I call a road or water mirage thta is
commonly seen in the road. The type that makes
things look upside down looks neat because a ship
can look upside down or an island can look like
it is standing in its end. I have been a halo
observor/photographer since 2000 and have gotten
lots of halos but I need to get a photo or two of
a mirage to use on my webpage.
BTW: the link to my webpage is:
www.geocities.com/bowlturner/my_weatherpics.html
I have rare halos like sunvex parry arc and many
others.
Best Regards,
Michael
