You can't beat the timeliness of this list!
Last weekend traveling on the Interstate in Alabama (USA), my family saw
coloration in the clouds below the Sun like we had never seen before and
my son remarked that they looked like "mother of pearl." I was going to
post to the list asking about them and what they were called, but before
I got around to it, there was a posting about someone else seeing
"mother of pearl" clouds. One thing we noticed was that the colors came
out more, and looked more like mother of pearl if we put our sunglasses
on.
Thanks for the posting. Someday I will start watching the road instead
of the sky while I am driving, but the road is so boring compared to the
sky!
