Yes. It was difficult for Bottlinger to invent anything about elliptical
halos,
becouse only two papers had been published on the subject by 1908 and he
seemed not to be aware of them. Bottlinger´s part was the gyration, that
is the basis of the LGF-explanation for both the Bottlinger´s and
elliptical
halos. The extension of that idea was from Gedzelman, but Lynch and him
threw coin over telephone and David became the first author.
